SNUSAT Entrance Test Preparation for Shiv Nadar University

The Shiv Nadar University Scholastic Aptitude Test, commonly known as SNUSAT, is an entrance examination used for undergraduate admissions at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi NCR. The assessment measures a student’s quantitative and logical reasoning abilities. According to the university’s 2026 undergraduate admission information, SNUSAT is an online, home-proctored examination. It contains 40 multiple-choice questions and has a total duration of 90 minutes. The examination is divided equally between Quantitative Reasoning and Logical Reasoning.

Students applying for B.Tech programmes and the BS Computer Science programme must also take the Academic Proficiency Test. The APT includes 20 Mathematics questions and 20 Physics questions, with 30 minutes provided for each subject.

Logical Reasoning evaluates analytical thinking and the ability to reach valid conclusions. Question types may include number and letter sequences, analogies, coding-decoding, arrangements, classifications, statement-based reasoning, data sufficiency and logical puzzles.

The examination focuses more on applying concepts than memorising large amounts of information. Candidates must read every question carefully, recognise the underlying pattern and select the most suitable answer within the available time.
Students should begin their preparation with a diagnostic test to identify strong and weak topics. Quantitative concepts must be revised chapter by chapter, followed by topic-wise questions and timed practice. Learning mental calculation techniques can help students solve numerical questions more efficiently.

For Logical Reasoning, candidates should practise a variety of puzzles and arrangements. Complicated information should be converted into short notes, tables or diagrams before attempting an answer.

Candidates receive slightly more than two minutes per question, but difficult problems can consume additional time. Students should solve familiar questions first and return to challenging ones later. Every mock test should be analysed to identify conceptual mistakes, calculation errors and time-management problems.
